| G1 Aurora Aurora used to be a really sad Glory in terrible condition - She had no horn! Her symbol was badly rubbed, and she had no hair to speak of other than the remnants of a #2 buzz cut. Her vinyl had yellowed to an ivory colour, which was very noticeable when placed next to a nice Glory that I have. (I plan to restore this nicer Glory). So I thought that this Glory was a great candidate to experiment on. I sculpted a new horn out of Super Sculpey, and gave her a fully body paint job. This custom confirmed that I am not a fan of full body paint jobs, as the paint around the hair plugs ALWAYS cracks during the rehairing process. The rest of my full body paint jobs always comes out beautifully, and even looks like real pony plastic, except for the darn hair plug problem. So no more for me! Once her minty green paint job was sealed, I rubbed on scarlet, purple and royal blue RIT dye with an earbud, in small circular motions. It worked out great! The matte varnish of the paint job did not repel the dye one bit. Once the dye was done, I sealed her with another coat of matte varnish. Then the stars were painted with acrylics, and sealed. Aurora was rehaired with G3 pony hair that I had saved from a previous victim. You can see pictures of her sad baity state at the bottom!
