Rehairing

You will need ~

1. Nylon fishing wire/thread 2. A plug of hair 3. A doll-making needle. I got mine from the sewing section of K-mart. 4. Your pony's head :) 5. Pliers 6. A pair of scissors

Our goal is to push the hair plug out from the inside of a hair hole, leaving the knot inside the head and the rest of the hairplug dangling outside.

First, we want to thread our doll needle with some nylon wire. Cut about 50cm worth of nylon wire and grab your doll needle.

Fold the nylon thread in half and thread the folded end (on my right hand) through the eye of the needle.

Now poke your needle into the first hair hole, into the pony's head. We start with the hole furtherest from the bottom of the neck, because its easier to go in this direction :)

Shove the needle all the way in, until the tip comes out of the large neck hole at the bottom. It will be hard to pull the eye of the needle through the tiny hair hole, so grab your trusty pliers and pull the bottom tip of the needle -

and the entire needle will be forced through, out the bottom :)

Now, the ends of the nylon thread should be still left behind where we started. There should be the two free ends of the thread, as well as the middle fold/loop still sticking out of the pony's head. Next, we ONLY want to pull through the folded/loopy bit of nylon thread, while leaving the 2 free ends of the thread where they are -

You can unthread the needle now, leaving behind the nylon thread loop like so ^^

Take a hair plug, which you have prepared earlier, and fold it in half with the knot on one end, like this -

- and thread this doubled over knot of hair through the large nylon thread loop.

Now all we have to do is pull the 2 free ends of nylon thread that are still in their original starting position, on the outside of the pony's head. Pulling them will drag the hair plug into the head via our large nylon loop.

Pull hard! You will need extra pressure to yank the hair plug through the tiny hair hole.

And your hair plug will now pop out the other side ^^

Keep pulling the free ends of the hair plug out gently, until you can't pull any more. The knot is securely on the inside of the head.

And here we have one complete hair plug :) Now repeat all of this sixty or so times to get a full head of hair ^^

Rehairing is tedious work, so be sure to have some good music or movies for background noise :)
